Okay, so here is something.
I have found I'm just a tad amazed and somewhat saddened, by the state of affairs recently on the small map.
I think it's steadily gotten a less and less pleasant atmosphere over time, and become just a place for people to "legally" pad their statistics.
And what is more important, I think, is that it is encouraging some of the worst habits of our community. Teamplay is almost non-existant, instead replaced by a more typical gamer-style, points-hungry "Mwoar. MWOAR!!1" attitude. It's an abrasive and unwelcome place to be, or at least it's becoming that way.
And so -- it seems the worst element of this, the spawnkilling, is more persistant than it ever was, despite warnings flashing up on screen, and the FF.
Hmm, unless someone is willing to convince me otherwise, I think I will have to start issuing kicks for the worst offenders. I am relectant to do so - as it's not something that was enforced straight away, the stats have been steadily adding up for all of this time inbetween, and everyone who has spawnkilled has also >been< spawnkilled... but untill we have a new map, and possibly new rules, I feel I am left with little choice.
So, from now, people camping at spawnpoints, with the PKMs or the RPKs or whatever their weapons of choice, staring up at empty spawn spaces, will have a day or so of warnings and friendly requests to stop by me or the other admins, and then we will start with kicks...
If you feel this is unfair, please suggest other ideas and we will think about them if they have merit.
Untill then, happy gaming.
