I would like to have spawntime for combat-choppers prolonged, because it gets really boring to always look over your shoulder and flinch whenever you hear "hostile slick spotted" and it isn't fair to jet pilots, who have to wait 2 minutes.
It was actually done this way on Hws1 and I liked it that way. Because when you are flying cobra and your enemy has hotel + cons flag (most likely), there will always be chopper around, since it has to pass through here to get onto their place at beach (because hardly anyone would use the way around cons to river..).
The thing is, that only if you hide behind houses at construction site or behind hotel/peak at hotel, you can wait for them to get out of helipad and kill them - but this also unlocks new threat - AT soldiers, APCs + tanks that are waiting around for you to stop and remain still on one place.
But there is another problem - the chopper pilots will probably be middle or high ranked soldiers and they will logically wait till they see you from base and then kill you.. - and you either can go high (boring solution) or simply retreat (even more boring solution).. because there is nothing more you can do.. they won't be leaving base with knowing that you are around waiting for them to do so.
So instead of some 25-30 seconds that we have now I recommend 60-80 seconds..

hmm.... agree...
but the problem is.. when a noob has a good ping and get in the chopper first.. its really boring to wait until his dead... or until he stop taking the chopper... 60 + 60 + 60 + 60 its really will get boring...
but anyway i can agree with adam

One more idea.. What if we had 2 combat choppers spawning, but their spawntime will increase to some 2-3 minutes? I think this will be rather pleasant change for most players and it will unlock new experiece during gameplay.
+ 2 chopper teams can cooperate during fight more than 1 -> hell interesting
+ 2 choppers are more likely to return to base when retreating from jets -> pingpongball effect (you are less likely to catch 1 of 2 balls than 1 of 1 ball)..
+ When other team has all flags, 2 helicopters are more likely to clear beach than only 1. Since when only 1 helicopter is bombarding beach with TV missiles, people respawn faster than it can obliterate them.
- Poor little puny soldiers! But helicopters will also have a lot of threat onto their shoulders so infantry won't be so much disadvantaged
- Tanks... APCs..... everything is more useless with more choppers in battlefield -> maybe - if it's possible - TV missile could be tweaked so it's not "one shot one kill" for a tank
2 Blackhawks
2 Jets
2 Combat Helicopters
I recommend to add 1 more FAV to MEC base too
PS: I saw 2 combat helicopters on many maps from retail

Because I think that this is "Server critic".. better to fit into description than language?
However to your statement - I don't get it, what do you mean with the newbies? Like that there are 2 newbies and both take 2 choppers? What's so bad about it? If you mean the thing with spawntime then I have to tell you: When you don't get into chopper before someone once, you're not getting into it till the mr. "someone" says so. The only thing you can do is to push him around so he won't be standing on the spawnpoint.

ehab explained the problems with the "n**bs" but this problem isn´t away if you only let a new hlei spawn because there could be 2 n**bs with highpings

Hum.. what's bad about newbies getting into chopper? I actually didn't want to fix problem with newbies (noone can fix it, because there's nothing to fix about it - it's nothing bad), but the problem with always having to look over your shoulder if there isn't a chopper. that you killed 30 seconds ago, 200m high willing to kill you.. This problem will also be partially fixed with 2 combat choppers, since you will simply have to be on guard all the time
.
PS: I would love to see some admin reply too

I am not for the changing.
I found it really annoying on hdws 1 that the spawn time is so damn long.
On hdws 2 it is really fast and I like it more. And when u killed the chopper, that is just starting, before, why not now again?
if u have a good gunner, just turn around and let him shoot. BOOM . 2 driver kill assists. done.

Not if they are raising at base to 200-300 meters and then find you on map.. Almost every mediocore player knows this and they do it. And once they will succed.
And I hate rounds that end with both chopper teams going very high and shooting random missiles around map!
It's always so boring that I many times just go down and fight normally till they find us..

Maybe I just think the spawn is good because I am in 80 % of the cases in the chopper, that dies
Me as gunner or not. And for the chopper that dies, the lower spawn time is nice, isnt it?

Whoa whoa whoa whoa.. Not TRrruEEe1!!
I think you are a good pilot and the only thing why you aren't in the surviving chopper-team is because you probably just rush onto battlefield and they dive from sky..
btw: Also think about the "4-choppers-on-battlefield-at-once-idea"

Hi. Nice opinion I think. I completly agree with Adams. It sounds good. I would like to have longer spawntime for chopper. I think it respawns too fast. So when u shot down another chopper you have to be quick to kill somebody on the ground and then defense against chopper. :-) If it would be this way as Adams say it will be better for soldiers, because of no chopper in air :-). I mean good chopper in air :-). Soildiers would have more chance to leave flag and so on. :-) altough soldiers on the team opposing dominationg chopper could be pretty much screwed up. Sorry 'bout my English. :-)
